หลังปล่อยตัวเทรลเลอร์ Detective Pikachu ในเวอร์ชั่นคนแสดงมา ก็สร้างความฮือฮาให้กับอินเตอร์เน็ตอย่างมาก โดยเพียงแค่ 2 วันที่ปล่อยออกมาก็มียอดวิวใน Youtube ของ Warner Bros. Picture สูงถึง 22 ล้านครั้ง

ซึ่งนอกจากจะฮือฮากับเสียงพากย์ของ “ไรอัน เรย์โนลด์” ที่ทำให้เกิดภาพทับซ้อนกับ “เดดพูล” ฮีโร่จอมเกรียนแล้ว (เสียงพากย์เวอร์ชั่นดั้งเดิมมาจาก Ikue Ōtani นักแสดงหญิงชาวญี่ปุ่น) อีกสิ่งที่ฮือฮาไม่แพ้กัน คือการสร้างตัว “ปิกาจู” โปเกมอนซึ่งเป็นตัวเอกสำคัญของเรื่อง ที่เราคุ้นตาในเวอร์ชั่นอนิเมะมากว่า 20 ปี เป็นในรูปแบบที่เป็น 3 มิติ จับต้องได้ และที่สำคัญคือ ขนที่ฟู ฟรุ้งฟริ้งมาก !

กับขนที่พองฟูนี่เอง ที่ส่งผลต่อความรู้สึกของแฟนๆ โปเกมอน บ้างส่วนก็ถูกอกถูกใจว่า มันดูน่านุ่มน่ากอด เหมือนสัตว์น้อยน่ารัก แต่บางส่วนก็มองว่ามันดูประหลาด ดูน่าขนลุกมากกว่าน่ารัก

ขณะที่หลายเสียงก็ยอมรับว่าอึ้งสักหน่อยกับการตีความ “ขน” ของปิกาจู ว่ามันต้องฟูฟ่องขนาดนี้เลยเหรอ ทว่า หลายคนที่เป็นแฟนโปเกมอนก็ยืนยันว่าต่อให้ “ขน” ของปิกาจูจะดูพิลึกกึกกือยังไงก็ยังอยากที่จะไปดูอยู่ดี

Detective Pikachu looks utterly grotesque but I think I actually want to see it. The fact that a Pokémon movie exists in that form is utterly baffling to me, I can’t not see how far they went with it.
